In detail.
The Hamburg-based team at Mint Architecture carried out the refurbishment of two rental spaces. Both refurbishments were carried out with care and in an environmentally conscious manner, with the aim of reusing existing building elements such as raised floors, partition walls and ceilings.
The use of glass walls and doors with dark frames connects the rooms, allowing plenty of daylight to flood into the entire space and creating a unifying design element. Strähle’s double-glazed 3500 all-glass system, which has no vertical mullions, creates an elegant ambience and is particularly suitable for corridor areas.
On the 5th floor, the 2300 structural glazing system was installed, featuring 64 mm portal doors with a sound insulation rating of RwP = 38 dB and 78 mm portal doors with a sound insulation rating of RwP = 42 dB. The warm wood tones of the door surfaces complement the black anodised profiles of the double-glazed partition wall system.
