The dialogue between the open building and landscaping is informed by the division of the structure into two separate sections. The academy building and the accommodation building with the canteen are connected to the music centre by an inner courtyard with a large arch, forming the main entrance.

Music rooms with the latest technology can meet a wide variety of requirements for accommodating orchestras, ensembles and choirs and provide ideal conditions for a stay at the music centre. A variety of settings – including pantries, social spaces and conversation areas – for visitors participating in seminars and conferences strike the perfect balance between practicality and comfort.

The 2000 partition wall system (the modern classic of the Strähle partition walls) was installed in the administration area. This system was developed to offer maximum flexibility and design diversity and means that room layouts can be easily and affordably modified to suit changing circumstances. It meets the highest requirements for sound insulation and fire safety and is compatible with all Strähle partition wall systems.

The Baden-Württemberg music centre is an educational hub and meeting place for amateur musicians and opened in September 2021.
