duka, Brixen/Bressanone (ITA)

duka AG, the specialist for individual shower enclosures located in the South Tyrol, has set up its headquarters in Brixen south.  Eighteen metres high, almost 100 metres wide and 200 metres long. Production, administration, training and the customer showroom exhibition are all combined in one building. The new domicile provides 300 jobs. The offices and conference rooms are on the top floor. Pale wood, glass and black profiles set the tone. Although the administration section is optically completely open, the all-glass walls provide acoustic separation.

The all-glass walls were realised in Strähle's System 2000 and System 3400. The partition walls are single- or double-glazed, depending on the sound insulation requirements. The narrow black profiles of System 3400 have an impressively elegant, transparent appearance and short assembly times. The flush glazing of System 2000 provides high sound insulation and enables a combination of sheltered workplaces and communicative areas for informal chats.

Glass doors and solid doors were also used, with a variety of wood surfaces. Brightly-coloured carpet tiles in the corridors between the fully glazed office units divide the floor into zones and provide a guidance system. The departments are grouped around inner courtyards, giving the office area a human face.

The project was realised by Strähle's system partner  FKontract: https://www.fkontract.com/
