Partition system 2000

St. Oberholz,
Berlin

St. Oberholz has been considered a trendsetter among coworking providers for many years and is now also doing pioneering work in the field of circular economy with its new location. All previous locations demonstrate that circularity is a very high priority.

Im Detail.

The desire to reuse materials is evident in the vintage furniture, lighting, and use of salvaged plants, among other things. When expanding the newest location, a floor in a turn-of-the-century rental building in Berlin-Friedrichshain, the principle of circular economy could be implemented much more comprehensively. An important prerequisite for this was created by Concular, which has set itself the task of closing material cycles in the construction sector by acting as an intermediary for building materials from demolition projects.

The spatial concept divides the 650-square-meter floor into separate offices for four, six, and eight people along the façade, as well as a spacious communication area with a long bench table, lounge area, and focus boxes for phone calls in the center of the building. The separation of the office units and the provision of daylight to the communal area were achieved using glass partitions from Strähle.

With the aim of reusing as many elements as possible for the interior design, around 80 linear meters of system walls were installed that had previously been used in an office building in Stuttgart for over 10 years. The wall elements from the System 2000 showed no color changes and hardly any visible signs of wear.

Thanks to its inherently sustainable design, the modular partition wall system with patented internal system stands allows customized office layouts to be created quickly and, above all, in a resource-efficient manner. In view of the growing importance of life cycle assessment and the use of system partition walls as a reusable product, St. Oberholz is already a flagship project in circular interior design.
