The Kreissparkasse bank has reorganised its headquarters in the district between the station and the old town. The part of the building on the Bahnhofstrasse was replaced and the extension, added on in the 1990s, and the corner building that is part of the town's history, were integrated into it. Modern offices with a mix of open and separate areas for 400 employees were created.
In the new building, the System 2000 partition wall system in 100 and 125 mm design was used. With its slim, flush glazing combined with VT 64 and VT 88 solid portal doors, it provides the staff with high sound insulation for concentrating on work, and at the same time openness and transparency.
The material mix of anodised bronze aluminium profiles, glass surfaces and solid doors in American walnut veneer give the building a warm, pleasant atmosphere for working and dealing with customers. The walnut surfaces are repeated on the stairs and furniture; the design is modern, yet respects the existing elements.
In the old building, as an optical variant to help differentiate within the building, System 2300 with flush-bonded glazing and matching SG 100 doors was used for the Structural Glazing building style.
The patented mullion construction function serves as a skeleton for the flexible modular wall systems 2000 and 2300. The elements are particularly easy to install as well as to swap or move around if requirements change. The many requirements regarding sound insulation and looks were all fulfilled with the systems in the building. They provide the user with flexibility for change. The systems are available in 100 and 125 mm thicknesses. On the ground floor, which has a ceiling height of 3.6 metres, the 125 mm variant of the system was used.
