Partition system 2300

Mittelbrandenburgische
Sparkasse
Potsdam

Selected as part of an architectural competition, the design for the new headquarters of the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse Potsdam (MBS Potsdam) comes from architects KSV Krüger Schuberth Vandreike. The commitment to a modern, contemporary design which picks up the qualities of the historically important cultural heritage of Potsdam and carries them forward into a new construction of the modern day was the central idea behind this project. In October 2017, MBS Potsdam moved into the second section of the building with the new entrance hall and the extension building intended for committees, conferences, the management, the staff section and the key accounts area.

In detail.

So-called Share Areas in the central zone of the office floors serve as communal areas for working, meetings, service and communication. They are flanked by the Private Areas along the façades which allow for concentrated working in single or group offices.

Strähle system walls in glass allow daylight to cross through the lofts and fill the central zone. Full doors and semi-transparent walls in the form of light-oak ribs in the central zone interplay with the visible concrete pillars and the carpeted flooring throughout to create a pleasant and at the same time elegant atmosphere.

The System 2300 structural glazing is characterised by a reflective, flush glass look and impresses with high sound-insulation values. Its construction is both flexible and modular, and is based on the patented Strähle system mullion with integrated suspension units. The walls separating the individual offices are full walls of the System 2000.
